Grades 3 -5

As we progress in our yearlong theme of "Michigan Adventure", we are studying Michigan's road to statehood as well as mining, lumbering, and agriculture in those early years.

The kids will be working on their musical soon and be ready to perform in April. Some of them are humming tunes throughout the day after music classes.

Again this year the third-fifth graders will visit Scheurer Hospital Long Term Care Unit. The residents and students look forward to these monthly visits as we share God's love through song, crafts, visiting, and art. In March we will be the artists and draw portraits of the residents.

It's a great year to serve our Lord! What a blessing to be a part of Cross Lutheran School.

GWYNNE BARRY holds a B.S. in Education from Central Michigan University. She also has completed 20 hours of Continuing Education Graduate Courses from CMU. She has 23 State Board Continuing Education Units. Gwynne is also a master teacher for Susan Kovalik & Associates.
